Moving car catches fire in Rohtak, driver escapes

A moving car suddenly caught fire near Bappu Park on Delhi Road here on Tuesday. The driver managed to exit the vehicle safely. Passersby rushed to the scene, and one of them immediately alerted the police control room and fire brigade. A fire tender reached the spot and quickly doused the flames. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.

Sources said the driver had come to the market to shop. He noticed smoke emerging from the car and quickly got out, after which the vehicle was completely engulfed in flames.

“I was standing near the car when it caught fire. My son immediately dialed 112 and 100. Soon after, the fire brigade and the police arrived and extinguished the flames,” said Ashok, an eyewitness.
