Kurukshetra: A national webinar on 'Shrii Shrii Anandamurti's contribution to neo-humanism and neo-humanist Education' was oraganised by Renaissance Universal, an intellectual forum of Ananda Marga Pracharak Samgha, in collaboration with the Bharat Ratna Gulzari Lal Nanda Centre for Ethics and Philosophy. Prof Himmat Singh Sinha, former professor of philosophy, Kurukshetra University, was the chief guest on this occasion. Prof LK Gaur of Sanskrit explained that neo-humanism was a unique philosophy and it harmonises physical world with spiritual world. Prof Karunashankar Upadhya, professor of Hindi and HoD, University of Mumbai, said the base of neo-humanism was devotion.

MoU for construction technology

Faridabad: In order to provide construction investigation and laboratory testing facilities and consultancy to various civil engineering projects, the JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, has signed an MoU with MAB Civil Technologies and Consultants Private Limited. The collaboration will help the university in developing an ecosystem to generate its own resources through consultancy. The MoU was signed by university Registrar SK Garg and HP Gupta from MAB Civil Technologies and Consultants Private Limited, in the presence of Vice Chancellor Prof Dinesh Kumar. The VC urged the faculty of civil Engineering to chalk out the layout design and physical structure planning for the extension campus of the university, which would be developed on the Faridabad-Gurugram road near Bhakri village here.

Improvement exams at DCRUST

Sonepat: Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology (DCRUST), Murthal, has given its pass-out students a chance to improve their CGPA. Any student who has completed his/her degree programme can improve the score in 50 per cent courses of a particular semester. In addition, the university has given a mercy chance to those students who were unable to pass their academic programme within the stipulated plus extended duration. Controller of Examination MS Dhankhar told the media that students could apply for these exams on the form available on the university website up to December 5. The university has already announced the tentative schedule of exams.

National Pharmacy Week

Rohtak: A webinar on the theme- "Pharmacists: Frontline health professionals" was organised the department of pharmaceutical sciences of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) as part of National Pharmacy Week. Department of pharmaceutical sciences head Prof Sanju Nanda said expert Prof OP Katare of the UIPS, Chandigarh, spoke about the role of pharmacists in the Covid pandemic. He said a skilled pharmacist was an asset during this health crisis. Dean, faculty of pharmaceutical sciences, Prof Munish Garg highlighted the role of pharmacists in the pandemic situation.

JC Bose varsity inks pact

Faridabad: The JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA has become the training and education partner with Schneider Electric, a French multinational company providing energy and automation digital solutions for efficiency and sustainability. The university has signed an MoU with Schneider Electric to establish world-class infrastructure pertaining to electrical, automation, energy management and renewable energy and its associated areas. Vice Chancellor Dinesh Kumar said the tie-up would not only provide industry-specific technical skills to the students but would also enhance their employability. He said the university was promoting such industry-academia partnerships to fill the skill gap required for employment by providing them with a holistic and job-centric learning environment.
