Khushi Nursing College row: Arrested chairman produced in court, sent to judicial remand

The Hansi police produced an arrested chairperson of the Khushi Nursing College in a court today which remanded him to judicial custody till further orders, while investigation was initiated into the matter.

The police had booked the chairperson on the allegations levelled by some girl students of Khushi College of Nursing, located at Kagsar village, Narnaund subdivision, Hansi district.

The students ended their dharna after the police arrested the chairman, Jagdish Goswami, and produced him in a Hansi court which sent him to judicial custody. Prior to this, the police took the chairman to the college, where the crime spot was identified.

Police sources said provisions of the SC/ST Act had also been added to FIR registered against the chairperson. The students ended their dharna yesterday night after all of their demands were fulfilled.

The FIR was registered against the chairperson, his son and his wife under Sections 75(2), 79, and 3(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The police have recorded statements of around eight to nine students. In her statement, one student alleged that while she was going to the mess, the chairman called her, took her to a bathroom, molested her, and attempted to remove her clothes. It was also alleged that he called another girl to a room and forcibly made her massage his feet.
