Kurukshetra, November 18

Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal said the state was a leading example of women empowerment in the country.

At a community felicitation function organised in Jind on Sunday, Lal said saree weaving was a cottage industry in Odisha and several highly trained womenfolk were engaged in it. He also emphasised inculcating moral values among the younger generation and mentoring them to be responsible citizens.
