One-yr-old dies, sister hurt in road mishap

An accident occurred in Sector 56 this morning when an auto rickshaw overturned on two sisters, killing one-year-old Sapna and injuring her teenaged sister, Mansa. The sisters were crossing the road when the speeding auto lost control. Sapna was declared dead, while Mansa is receiving treatment for injuries. The auto driver fled, and an FIR has been lodged against him. Investigations are underway and the girl’s body has been handed to the family after postmortem.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
