BJP’s co-incharge for Haryana Assembly elections Biblab Deb today said that the party had announced candidates for 67 of the 90 seats in one go, thus indicating a strong party leadership and organisation.

Debia, while interacting with mediapersons at the BJP’s state office in Rohtak, said that the party had fielded nominees belonging to all castes, classes and communities of the state, thereby striking a social balance.

He added that 14 of the 67 candidates belonged to Backward Classes while due representation had been given to the Dalit, Brahmin, Punjabi, Jat, Rajput and Sikh communities. “Several MLAs, including three ministers, have been replaced in view of the socio-political equations in the state,” he claimed.
