Department of Paediatrics at Pt BD Sharma University of Health Sciences Rohtak (UHSR) has designed its official logo and stamp, which was formally unveiled by Vice-Chancellor Dr HK Aggarwal on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Aggarwal said the Paediatrics Department has established a distinct identity in society and plays a crucial role in representing the growth and well-being of children. He explained that, “The logo depicts a plant whose strong roots help it grow into a large, airy and fruitful tree, symbolising the healthy development of children when they receive proper care from the very beginning.”
He added that the logo and stamp would give the department a unique identity and enhance its reputation.
Registrar Roop Singh described the launch as a significant achievement for the department and said it would further strengthen its services. PGIMS Dean (Academic Affairs) Director Ashok Chauhan also said the institute remains committed to working closely with the Paediatrics Department to improve healthcare services for children.
Dr Kundan Mittal, Head of the Department of Paediatrics and PGIMS Medical Superintendent, said the logo and stamp mark an important milestone for the department and were developed with the support of all faculty members as well as Dr Prashant Kumar from the IVF department.
“The design conveys the message that a child’s care should begin from the mother’s womb and that proper nurturing leads to the birth of a healthy baby who later contributes to the nation’s bright future,” Dr Mittal added.
Dr ND Vaswani, Dr Alok Khanna, Dr Alka Yadav, Dr Kapil Bhalla, Dr Anjali Verma, Dr Vandana, Dr Neha and Dr Neeraj, were also present on the occasion.
