Panipat youth commits suicide

Panipat, November 12

A 21-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging himself in his house in Chulkana village of Samalkha on Sunday night.

The deceased was identified as Deepak alias Pradeep. Manisha, wife of the deceased, in her statement to the police said Deepak was working as an electrician in the village after passing a diploma from the ITI.

He went to Hisar for group D examination on Saturday and stayed there. He had come home on Sunday evening and after having dinner, he went to his room.

He did not go for running on Monday morning, as was his schedule. So his friends came home looking for him and found him hanging in his room.

They then informed his parents and rushed Deepak to a private hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

The police initiated inquest proceedings under Section 174 of the CrPC and the body was handed over to the victim’s kin after post-mortem examination.
