Pehowa gets Rs19.5 cr under Krishna circuit phase-2

Haryana Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Sandeep Singh, who is also MLA Pehowa, on Wednesday informed that Rs 19.57 crore would be spent on the beautification of Pehowa and development of Saraswati Tirtha under Krishna circuit phase-2 in Pehowa.
Sandeep said, “Pehowa is among the important religious places in the 48 Kos Parikrama of Kurukshetra. The Haryana Government has prepared a plan for the development of Saraswati Tirtha and beautification of Pehowa. For it, an estimated budget of over Rs 19.57 crore will be spent under Krishna circuit phase-2 of the Swadesh Darshan scheme of the Centre. Of the total budget, Rs 6.25 crore will be spent on the beautification work.”
“Two bridges on the sarovar of Saraswati Tirtha at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore will be constructed. About Rs 48.75 lakh will be spent on landscaping work of 7,500 sq.m land while Rs 58.5 lakh will be spent on lighting work. Car parking, bus parking, four toilet blocks, night shelter, bus queue shelter, two entry gates, ghats, boundary walls, gazebos, tourist facilitation centre, pathway, heritage structure components at 20 places and data centre will be developed under this project,” he added.
