Randeep Singh Surjewala, AICC chief spokesman, said on Tuesday that the people of Haryana had been victims of the BJP, INLD and the JJP. He said the INLD and the JJP were the two sides of the same coin.

Nirmal Singh, Congress leader, filed his nomination and Surjewala along and Naveen Jindal, former MP, were accompanying him.

Surjewala said, “Time has come to expose the lies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, who made false promises to people during their rallies in Kurukshetra. Now, BJP leaders don’t talk about giving jobs, 50 per cent profit on the cost of production to farmers, and ‘acche din’. It has been trying to end the relation between commission agents and farmers. Modi and Khattar have disrespected this state, particularly Kurukshetra, with their wrong policies and poor governance.”

“The BJP has not given respect to its Dalit leaders and we all have seen that. They claim about giving jobs on merit but the fact is that jobs and papers are being sold,” he said.

Surjewala said, “The BJP has been trying to gain votes in the name of the Army, but it will never succeed. The Army works for the nation and not for any party.”
