The All India Punjab National Bank Pensioners and Retirees Association, Yamunanagar Circle, celebrated International Women’s Day at Punjabi Dharamshala, Jagadhri.
The chief guest of the programme was Lalit Taneja, zonal manager, Punjab National Bank, Chandigarh.
Circle president of the association Chaman Lal Kansal said more than 300 members of the association and other guests participated in the programme.
Sikander Pal, deputy zonal manager, Chandigarh Zone; Trimurti Shiv Pandey, circle head, Karnal, and ML Arora, senior joint general secretary of the central unit and general secretary of the Haryana state unit of the PNB Pensioners and Retirees Association were present as distinguished guests.
KD Khera, chief adviser of the association welcomed the chief guest as the main speaker and highlighted the activities of the association.
Ravi Ranjan, head of MCC Yamunanagar and Parveen Ajmani, lead bank manager were also present as special guests. The programme was conducted by RK Vohra, central organisation secretary of the association and coordinator of the Yamunanagar unit.
While addressing the gathering, Taneja said it was his privilege to be present on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
He emphasised that the day was dedicated to honouring the sacrifice, dedication, and courage of women.
Pal also appreciated the association for celebrating International Women’s Day at such a level by retired members.
