Poll vault: Parivar ‘pareshan’ patra
Chandigarh: The family ID project, parivar pehchan patra (PPP), the dream project of former CM Manohar Lal Khattar, continues to provide political ammunition to the Congress during its campaign against the BJP. As Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi mocked it as ‘parivar pareshan patra’ during his road show on Tuesday, he got a thunderous applause underlining digital initiative’s ‘unpopularity’.
Hooda’s opponent hopes against hope
Rohtak: Manju Hooda, BJP candidate from the Garhi Sampla-Kiloi, citadel of two-time CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda, seems to have been left in the lurch by her party. To date, no prominent leader of the BJP has come to campaign for her. This, despite the fact that her constituency is in Rohtak district, which has been frequented by the party’s top brass for campaign. Undeterred, Manju is braving rough and tumble of Haryana politics alone. Three cheers for Manju’s perseverance!
This is not done, netaji
Faridabad: Endangering their lives, certain minor children were “engaged” in showering flower petals on the cavalcade of Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami from atop JCB machines during an election programme. While organisers were unapologetic, civil society members were up in arms urging politicians to put an end to such dangerous activities which could prove fatal.
