State Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana on Friday welcomed the NDA's victory in the Bihar elections and rejected the Opposition’s allegations of “vote theft”.

“The verdict shows that people of Bihar believe in the NDA’s development model,” he said at a programme in Radaur.

Targeting the Opposition, particularly Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, he said the “vote theft” allegations were baseless. He said such claims reflected the Opposition’s growing disconnect with people.

Rana said the Opposition should return to the people and rebuild its organisation instead of blaming the Election Commission or the electoral process for its defeat.

“While BJP workers were engaging with voters at the booth level, the Opposition was busy spreading doubts,” he said.

“Democracy needs a constructive and credible opposition, not one that misleads people,” he said, crediting the NDA’s booth-level campaign and extensive public outreach for the win.
