A seven-day research methodology workshop, organised under the aegis of the Chaudhary Ranbir Singh Institute of Social and Economic Change, the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Law and the Centre for Yogic Studies of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), commenced on Monday.
Inaugurating the workshop, Vice-Chancellor Prof Rajbir Singh emphasised that in the present era, research scholars should not limit themselves to subject knowledge alone, but must also adopt scientific research methods, ethical values and social responsibility in their research work.
Workshop convener Prof Seva Singh said that the objective of the programme is to familiarise PhD research scholars with research proposal writing, research design, data collection and analysis, research ethics and the publication process. Workshop Coordinator Dr Pradeep Kumar outlined the structure and framework of the workshop.
