Roads blocked by street vendors
Street vendors have blocked all roads of the new fruit and vegetable market by setting up their fruit ridges on both sides of the roads, causing a lot of trouble to visitors there. Similarly, the old vegetable market is also occupied by street vendors. The district administration, marketing board and the Municipal Corporation should jointly take appropriate action against the occupiers. Shakti Singh, Karnal
A step in the right direction
As per notification of the Food Safety & Standards Association of India (FSSAI), effective from October 1, 2020, a "best before date" label will become mandatory for all loose sweet packets and non-packaged sweets i.e., the container and tray holding the sweets at the outlet for sale must display the same. Road to Panchkula DLF Valley in bad state
I would like to draw the attention of the authorities towards the pathetic state of road from Chokhi Dhaani to the DLF Valley. Residents have tough time moving on this potholed, broken road everyday. It is a real torture. The residents have approached the DLF authorities and the MC authorities for the past months but no action has been taken so far. Col KJ Singh (Retd), Panchkula
