Samadhan Shivir ensures swift grievance redressal, says CM
Cites speedy justice as 30,000 complaints resolved
Highlighting the state government’s focus on speedy grievance redressal, Chief Minister Nayab Saini on Wednesday said ‘Samadhan Shivir’ camps are being organised every Monday and Thursday at district and subdivision levels to ensure swift justice to citizens.
He said that around 40,000 complaints had been received through these camps so far, of which nearly 30,000 had already been resolved. “Out of 1.42 lakh complaints received directly by me, approximately 1.35 lakh have been disposed of,” the Chief Minister said.
Saini added that grievances registered on the CM Window portal were also being addressed expeditiously, and only those cases remained pending which were sub judice or involved family disputes requiring legal resolution.
The Chief Minister was in Gurugram to chair the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee meeting.
A total of 16 complaints were taken up during the meeting, of which the Chief Minister resolved 12 cases on the spot, while directions were issued to keep the remaining four matters pending until the next meeting.
Taking serious cognisance of illegal encroachments on green belt land reserved under the master plan in Gwalapahari village, the Chief Minister directed officials of the Public Works Department and the Municipal Corporation to jointly conduct on-site demarcation to ascertain the factual position before initiating further action.
Addressing a complaint from Chhilarki village in the Pataudi area, the Chief Minister ordered a detailed inquiry against the manager of Jatoli Mandi PACS. The complainant alleged difficulties faced by farmers in obtaining fertilisers due to the manager’s working style, along with complaints of unsatisfactory behaviour and arbitrary practices in fertiliser distribution.
The Chief Minister directed the officers concerned to conduct a fair and impartial inquiry and submit the report to the Deputy Commissioner at the earliest.
During the meeting, the issue of water seepage and waterlogging at the Dhanwapur railway underpass, causing inconvenience to commuters, was brought to the Chief Minister’s notice. He directed the departments concerned to complete repair work within 15 days to ensure smooth and safe movement of the public.
He also instructed officers to take preventive measures to ensure such problems do not recur.
The Chief Minister further directed the Municipal Corporation to ensure that there were no broken sewer covers or sewer overflows anywhere in the city, emphasising regular monitoring of the sewerage system to prevent inconvenience or accidents.
He also asked officials to enhance cleanliness standards through regular sanitation drives, effective waste management and maintenance of a clean urban environment. The power department was directed to ensure that electricity poles do not obstruct roads or pathways, posing risks to public movement.
Stressing inter-departmental coordination, the Chief Minister said citizen convenience must remain the top priority.
