With the conclusion of the Saras fair, the seven-day international Saraswati Mahotsav ended at Pehowa Tirtha on Tuesday.

Haryana Saraswati Heritage Development Board Vice-President Dhuman Singh Kirmach said, “The Saraswati Mahotsav has concluded. Sincere efforts were made to celebrate the mahotsav on the lines of Gita Mahotsav, and the board will try to increase the scale of celebrations next year. Some shortcomings came to light during the festival and efforts will be made to rectify all these issues.”

“Work related to cleaning, maintenance and beautification work of the tirtha will continue. Apart from this, preparations for the Chaitra Chaudas fair, to be held on March 29, will also start at the tirtha soon. Arrangements will be made in advance so that people coming from other states do not face any problem. We have also urged police officials to deploy personnel at the tirtha for the security and safety of the visitors. CCTV cameras will be installed at the tirtha,” he added.
