Seminar on ‘Cybersecurity challenges, job opportunities in AI era’ organised in Panipat

Parikshit Goyal, vice president of Cybersecurity at HCLTech, stated that with the increasing adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), the methods used in digital fraud are evolving rapidly. Consequently, skills beyond mere technical knowledge — such as analytical thinking, ethical hacking and risk management — have become essential. He advised students to prepare themselves in alignment with industry demands and to engage in continuous learning.

Parikshit Goyal was addressing students at a seminar titled ‘Cybersecurity Challenges and Job Opportunities in the Era of AI’, organised at Geeta University. On the occasion, he also inaugurated a modern computer laboratory established at the university with the aim of making students “industry-ready.” The event was presided over by the Pro-Chancellor of Geeta University, Ankush Bansal.

Serving as the chief guest at the seminar — organised under the aegis of HCLTech — Goyal apprised students of the evolving landscape of cybersecurity in the age of AI and the employment opportunities available in this domain.

He familiarised students with the latest industry trends and challenges and urged them to prepare in accordance with industry requirements while committing to lifelong learning. During the seminar, students addressed their queries to the visiting experts regarding real-world case studies in digital security, AI-based security solutions and career prospects in the field.

Speaking on the occasion, Pro-Chancellor Ankush Bansal stated that the university’s objective is not to confine students solely to academic knowledge but to make them “industry-ready.” He added that Geeta University is continuously striving to ensure its students stay updated with modern technologies, enabling them to bring recognition to themselves and the institution at both national and global levels.

A modern computer laboratory has been established at Geeta University by HCLTech. During the event, Goyal inaugurated the lab, which is dedicated to developing skills in cybersecurity, AI, ethical hacking, and risk management. In this lab, experienced experts from HCLTech will train students to meet industry demands.
