Yamunanagar, June 24

The Regional Officer of Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB), Yamunanagar, has recommended environmental compensation of Rs 49,68,750 against the closed industrial unit in Damla village in Yamunanagar.

The under-construction industrial unit was closed on June 15 for allegedly causing air and groundwater pollution. The action has been taken after an inspection by the HSPCB authorities at the site of the under-construction industrial unit.
