The police have booked six persons for allegedly making bets on an IPL match between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals on Thursday evening.
They were arrested from different places. Eight cellphones, two laptops and two LEDs were recovered from their possession. The accused were produced in a local court today, which granted them bail.
On a tip-off, a team of the crime unit, Sector-317, raided the Piramid building in Sector-70 and arrested Ashish Gupta and Nikhil Kalra, both residents of Gurugram.
Nitin Manchanda and Inderjit were arrested from Sector-9 while Hisar residents Jatin and Himanshu were arrested from Vardhman Mantra Society.
Three FIRs were registered in different police stations, said Preet Pal Singh Sangwan, ACP (crime).
