Sonepat sports university student attempts suicide
The student was stopped from hanging himself by his friends and rushed to hospital in Sonepat
A student of Sports University in Rai, Sonepat, attempted suicide in his hostel room. However, he was stopped from hanging himself by his friends.
The university administration immediately admitted Sonu, from Bhiwani, to a private hospital and informed his family members as well. Sonu is a student in the PG Diploma (Fencing) program at the university.
A suicide note was also recovered from the spot, which has been handed over to the police. In the letter, the student said that no one is responsible for his death. He also mentioned the name of a girl in the note, who belongs to a village in Hisar, and said the girl had run away from her home by taking his name. He further said the girl didn't come to him.
The university administration said it was an unfortunate incident, and as per the note recovered from the student’s room, it is suspected that he has taken this extreme step due to personal reasons.
Senior officials of the university administration were at the hospital to provide better health and support to the student and his family.
