Sonepat’s CRA College wins cross-country championship
Tika Ram Girls College, Sonepat, emerged victorious in the women’s category
The Inter-College Cross-Country Championship (men & women) was organised at Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) on Thursday. In the men’s category, CRA College, Sonepat, clinched the championship title, while Tika Ram Girls College, Sonepat, emerged victorious in the women’s category.
In the men’s team category, Jat College secured the second position, followed by Sat Jinda Kalyana College in the third place. In the women’s category, MKJK College, Rohtak finished as runners-up.
In the men’s individual event, Sandeep Pal of CRA College secured first position, followed by Akash at second and Vinay at third place. In the women’s individual category, Khushi of Tika Ram Girls College won the first position, while Jyoti and Anjali secured second and third places, respectively.
Earlier, MDU Registrar Dr Krishan Kant inaugurated the event and encouraged the athletes to face life’s challenges with confidence and transform opportunities into success.
Dr Shakuntala Beniwal, Director (Sports), Dr Rajvanti Sharma, chairperson of the MDU sports council, Ramesh Sindhu, Ashok Kumar were among those present on the occasion.
