Sonepat, December 10

Rohtak MP Deepender Singh Hooda lashed out at the BJP government for not giving due honour to sportspersons of the state in the past four years.

He was addressing participants after inaugurating the Circle Kabaddi Completion at Farmana village in the district on Sunday. “No one is taking any interest in the welfare of the sportspersons,” he alleged. He said the Congress government in the state had given employment to 725 sportspersons on the basis of their performances at various levels. He pointed out that this government had given employment to only three sportspersons. Junior Hooda said every section of society was fed up with the working of the government as it had failed to fulfil any promises made before the elections. — OC
