Chandigarh, August 2

To increase greenery under Carbon Credit in Haryana, the state government is exploring possibilities to establish an incubation centre in collaboration with Canada.

This information was given by Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister JP Dalal at a meeting with Consul General of Canada Patrick Hebert and Councillor (Commercial) to the Government of Canada Victor Lee. Through this incubation centre, various stakeholders would be apprised ofgreenery and Carbon Credit, the minister added.

The meeting was a follow-up to the conversation during the recent visit of the Agriculture Minister to Canada.

During the meeting Agriculture Minister and Hebert discussed various topics such as skill development, disposal of crop residues, its products and carbon credits.

In order to make the youth of Haryana employable and improve their skills, discussions were held regarding exploring the possibilities for starting various courses in the state by Canada- based agriculture institutes.
