Stone laid for development works worth Rs 92.86L in Yamunanagar-Jagadhri

The Municipal Corporation, Yamunanagar-Jagadhri (MCYJ), is carrying out development works worth crores of rupees to strengthen basic amenities in the twin cities.

In this connection, Mayor Suman Bahamani laid the foundation stone of development works, including construction of streets and drains costing Rs 92.86 lakh in three Wards — 6, 12 and 21 of Yamunanagar and Jagadhri.

On the occasion, the Mayor said development works were being carried out equally in every Ward of the MC area. “Providing citizens with better roads, drainage systems and other basic amenities is the corporation’s priority. I urge MCYJ officials to ensure timely and high-quality completion of construction projects so that residents can benefit from these facilities for a long time,” the Mayor said.

She added that ensuring transparency and quality in development projects was the corporation’s priority, ensuring sustainable and improved amenities for citizens.

Former Haryana Cabinet Minister Kanwar Pal Gujjar said development works were progressing rapidly in every Ward of the twin cities due to the double-engine system of the state government and the municipal corporation.

“Under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, special focus is being given to strengthening infrastructure in urban areas. The government’s priority is to fulfil the development promises made to the public,” said Kanwar Pal Gujjar.

Market Committee Jagadhri chairman Vipul Garg said that under the leadership of Mayor Suman Bahmani, the Municipal Corporation was continuously giving new impetus to development at the ward level. “In areas where broken streets and waterlogging had long been a problem, people will now benefit directly from the large-scale work that has begun,” said Vipul Garg.

On the occasion, assistant engineer of the MC Mrinal Jaiswal, assistant engineers Rajesh Sharma, Manish Kumar and Abhishek, BJP Mandal president Manoj Dhiman, Adesh Rana, Madan, Dharamveer, Billa Rana, and others were present.
