The foundation stone for a library and a martyr memorial was laid recently at Chimni village.

The event, organised by the Shaheed Sainik Samarak Samiti, was attended by Deputy Commission Pradeep Dahiya and IAS officer Pawan Kadyan and IPS officer Abhijeet Kadyan, both of whom hail from the village.

Samiti chief Subedar Major Raghuveer Kadyan (retired) expressed immense pride in the achievements of civil servants from the village. He said the library and martyr memorial would inspire the youth to succeed in their lives.
