flying squad team catches student using handwritten slip to cheat
A cheating incident was reported during Class X English exam at the PM Shree Government Senior Secondary School in Ding, Sirsa, on Thursday. The District Education Officer’s (DEO) flying squad team caught a student using a handwritten slip to cheat. The student was immediately moved to a different seat, and an unfair means case (UMC) was filed against her.
The flying squad team, led by Principal Navdeep Dhudia, was conducting regular inspections at several exam centres in the district. As per the report, when the team arrived at the PM Shree Government Senior Secondary School, they found the student cheating from a piece of paper in hand. The team quickly intervened, confiscated the cheating material and allowed the student to continue her exam from a different seat. The student, who is a resident of Ding, had just started the exam and had only written one page before being caught.
According to Principal Navdeep Dhudia, the flying squad inspected several exam centres across Sirsa, including schools in Kanwarpura, Kotli, Patlidabar, and Jodhkan. The inspection was part of the district’s efforts to ensure a fair examination process. Other members of the team, including Satpal Parik and Bhanupriya, were also present during the inspections.
Fortunately, no other case of cheating was reported from any of the other exam centres across the district. The district is hosting a total of 79 exam centres for Class X and Class XII board exams, with 28,114 students participating. These centres are spread across the region, with tight security and vigilant monitoring to maintain the integrity of the examination process.
