On this occasion, Registrar Prof Virender Pal said Swami Vivekananda's thoughts, deeply rooted in spirituality, inner strength and selfless service, are even more relevant in the modern era. "Kurukshetra University encourages students to imbibe his teachings in their daily lives so as to contribute meaningfully towards building a strong, self-reliant and progressive India," he added.
Dean Students’ Welfare Prof AR Chaudhri, along with university officials, Prof Anil Gupta, Prof Jasbir Dhanda, Prof Parmesh Kumar, Prof Vivek Chawla and other faculty members paid floral tributes at the statue of Swami Vivekananda, remembering his enduring legacy and timeless message to the youth.
Deputy Director (Public Relations) Dr Jimmy Sharma said Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, observed annually as National Youth Day, holds special significance at Kurukshetra University, where it is celebrated every year as a day of introspection, inspiration and renewed commitment to youth empowerment and nation-building.
