Take action against contractors using substandard material: MP to officials

Kurukshetra MP Naveen Jindal on Tuesday directed the district officials to ensure the good condition of roads in the district and take action against the contractors who use substandard material in construction works.

He was chairing the fifth meeting of the District Development Coordination and monitoring committee (DISHA) at the mini-secretariat in Kurukshetra.

MP Naveen Jindal said the officials should regularly inspect the roads in their respective areas and rectify the shortcomings in a timely manner. They should also follow up on pending files related to road construction and ensure that the work is completed within the stipulated time.

The MP himself, through a PPT presentation, showed the actual condition of roads from Kakrala Gujran to Ishaq, Mangna to Guldhera, Sandhaula to Pehowa, and Kainthla to Jalbehra, and ordered that the repair and construction work be completed within the stipulated time.
