Chandigarh, April 7

Additional Chief Secretary (health) Rajiv Arora said a strong health system had been established in all districts of the state.

Speaking as the chief guest during a video-conferencing programme organised on World Health Day today, he said the Ayushman Yojana and Health and Wellness Centres were important steps in this direction. The plan has focused on implementing health components in the public and private sector.

Mission Director, National Health Mission, Prabhjot Singh said health workers performed exceptionally well during the Covid-19 pandemic and were still doing so. World Health Day is celebrated every year on April 7 and this year, the Haryana Health Department has given the theme,State TB eradication, he added.
