“Our team demolished all unpaved roads and six under-construction foundations being built in this unauthorised colony. The area of this colony was about four acres,” said DTP Rajesh Kumar. He said notices were issued to the defaulters as per rules under the Controlled Area Restriction of Unregulated Development Act, 1963, as the defaulters did not follow the departmental orders.

He further said the landowners and other concerned persons did not take necessary permissions before establishing the illegal colony and carrying out construction work.

He appealed to the public not to purchase or sell any plots in any illegal colony. “If anyone is found carving out an illegal colony or constructing a building in such a colony, action shall be taken against them,” said DTP Rajesh Kumar. He said that the district administration would continue to take action against the violators in future too.
