Floral tributes were paid at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, located on the Kurukshetra University campus, on his death anniversary on Friday.

Vice-Chancellor Som Nath Sachdeva, along with Registrar Dr Virender Pal, offered garlands and paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi. Senior officials of the university also observed two minutes of silence in his memory.

He said Mahatma Gandhi championed the ideals of truth and non-violence, principles that continued to resonate in today’s world amid global challenges related to peace and social harmony.
