An Additional Sessions Judge (Fast Track Special Court under POCSO Act), Jagadhri, sentenced two men to 20-year rigorous imprisonment in a sexual abuse case.

Special Public Prosecutor (Deputy District Attorney) Sudhir Sindher said the Additional Sessions Judge also imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 each on Ashish Kumar alias Billa, and Shubham, both residents of Ambli village of Ambala district.

He said the convicts would further undergo a simple imprisonment for a period of one year in default of payment of fine.

According to information, a man residing in a village of Yamunanagar district registered an FIR at Sadhaura police station on December 16, 2024, stating that his 14-year-old daughter had gone missing from home. The girl was recovered by the police on December 18.

In her statement, the girl told the police that she left her house after a disagreement with her mother. Later, while the girl was on her way to her aunt’s house, the accused offered to drop her there on their motorcycle. However, the accused took her near a tubewell, where Ashish sexually abused her, while Shivam was also present there.
