Two murder accused held after encounter

The police have arrested two murder accused after a brief encounter along a service road near the Murthal flyover. One of them sustained a bullet injury and was admitted to hospital, while the other was taken into custody.

They have been identified as Sameer Malik and Sazid, residents of Idgah Colony. They were wanted in connection with the murder of a youth in the Bahalgarh area around four months ago.

As per the police, a crime unit led by Sub-Inspector Jitender was on routine patrol when it received a tip-off that the accused were hiding near the flyover.
