Our Correspondent

Sonepat, May 30

Prof Rajendra Kumar Anayath, Vice-Chancellor of the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology(DCRUST), Murthal, on Wednesday said, “Hindi has made inroads even in Arab countries.”

He was addressing a programme organised by the District Press Association on the occasion of Hindi Patrakarita Diwas in the university’s conference hall. Deepak Verma, association’s president, presided over the programme.

He highlighted the importance of print media and claimed that the future of print journalism was 100 per cent secure. “It was one of the most effective means of satisfaction as the reader gets the benefits of reading a news, analysing and registering it in his mind simultaneously,” he explained.

He also explained that most of the stock of the published news papers was being recycled and printing of the news papers had hardly any negative impact on the environment. “Like sugarcane, every year new green crops are grown by millions of the people for their livelihood,” he added.
