Panchkula, September 25

The heavy rain in the region on Monday also affected schoolchildren in the Morni area as they were seen crossing the swollen Ghaggar river on their way back from school with the help of a pipe.

Such scenes were witnessed at Koti village in the Morni area of Panchkula as the area lacks a bridge.

The children had gone to their school in the morning after crossing the river as there was very little water, but when they returned, the Ghaggar had swollen.

A video of this has gone viral on the social media. The video has been shot by a local teacher, who is aware of the difficulties children face in their day-to-day life. The teacher urges people to circulate the video widely so that the district administration takes action to make the lives of the locals a little less miserable.
