The BJP candidate from Ateli Arti Singh Rao, daughter of Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh, announced that Ateli would get the status of a subdivision if the people voted her to victory in the Assembly polls. The overall development of the Ateli region would be her priority. Arti announced this at a poll meeting at Sagarpur village of the Ateli Assembly constituency.

“My aim to enter the electoral battle is to resolve all issues of the Ateli constituency and to ensure its development, hence I will leave no stone unturned to get the status of subdivision for Ateli,” she said. Arti slammed and gave a befitting reply to those who were claiming that she would not be available in Ateli after the elections and people would have to go outside to meet her.

“My ancestors have a long political career here. Similarly, I also want to stay in Ateli and serve the people for a long time. If I do not stay among the people after standing for the elections once, then why will the people vote for me again. My two generations have contested the elections from here and served the people. I am contesting the elections from Ateli as the third generation. In such a situation, how can I be an outsider for Ateli,” she said.

Enumerating the development works undertaken during the BJP regime, she claimed people got employment on the basis of merit and many youths from every village got the jobs in the area during the BJP regime in the past decade.

“How much canal water did we get in the past 10 years ago? How much do we get today? What was the condition of roads, electricity, health, education, agriculture, employment, the business sector over a decade ago and what is the condition today, everyone can clearly see the difference, so the BJP deserves to form the government in the state for the third time,” Arti added.

Meanwhile, Rajiv Yadav, a resident, said Ateli falls under the Narnaul subdivision, hence people have to go to Narnaul, located 16 km away from Ateli, for several administrative work.

“If Ateli gets the subdivision status, it will be a great relief for the residents. They will not have to make rounds of Narnaul for every work. This issue is so important in the elections that the candidates of other parties too are making the same promise,” he added.
