Rewari, November 14
Calling upon BJP workers to reach Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally at Sultanpur in Gurugram on November 19 in large numbers, Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh on Wednesday said the BJP would not come to power in Haryana if Modi’s rally was not a success.
He urged every worker to leave no stone unturned in making the rally a success. He was addressing a party workers’ meeting on the Garhi-Bolni road to invite them to the Sultanpur rally.
“The BJP had formed the government in Haryana for the first time with the support of the Ahirwal region. We want the BJP to retain power in the state, but it will be possible only when it forms the government again at the Centre,” he said.
He said the General Election would take place before the Assembly polls and Modi would lead the party in elections. It was important to make the Sultanpur rally a success to ensure that the BJP remained in power, he said.
“People across the state had participated in Modi’s rally at Garhi Sampla in Rohtak on October 9. The Sultanpur rally will be for residents of eight districts. I have assured party leaders of making it a success on the basis of people of Ahirwal,” he said.
He said the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal expressway would bring relief from traffic congestion to residents of Haryana and Delhi and prove instrumental in reducing pollution considerably. It would lessen pressure of vehicular traffic on the national capital, he added.
