“The goal of ‘Viksit Bharat @ 2047’ can only be achieved when our youth is not just educated but also technically skilled, innovative and self-reliant. Through these industry-aligned programmes, we aim to prepare students not only for employment but also for leadership in job creation,” the VC said in a press statement issued here on Sunday.

He said the university, known for its commitment to environmental sustainability, quality education and research excellence, was set to align with the spirit of the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020, shifting the focus of education from knowledge to skills, from classrooms to industry, and from degrees to competency.

He said the university would launch BTech programmes in emerging fields such as VLSI design, cyber security, artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics, cloud computing, blockchain technology, electric vehicle technology, renewable energy and semiconductor engineering. These were designed not only to enhance technical expertise, but also to meet the demands of the rapidly evolving digital and manufacturing economy, he added.

Bishnoi said the five-year vision extended beyond curriculum expansion as it aimed to build a robust academic ecosystem integrating industry collaboration, research and innovation. “Key focus areas include industry partnerships, internships, live projects, start-up incubation and global academic collaborations to provide students with real-world experience and a global perspective,” he said.
