SONEPAT: A young inmate committed suicide on Monday by jumping off the third floor of Osho Nanak Dham near Murthal in Sonepat district.

A young inmate committed suicide on Monday by jumping off the third floor of Osho Nanak Dham near Murthal in Sonepat district.

She was identified as Sanju (24), hailing from Ram Gadha village in Champaran district of Bihar. Murthal SHO Sumit Singh said the police reached the spot.

He said during preliminary investigation, a suicide note was recovered by Jhankar Singh of Pathankot, also an inmate of the shelter home.

In her suicide note, Sanju blamed her father Sitender Singh for forcing her to take the extreme step. In the suicide note, she termed her father as cruel and blamed him for driving her to suicide.

On the basis of the suicide note and statement of Jhankar Singh, a case was registered against Sitender Singh. No arrest had been made so far.

The deceased, who had reportedly been mentally upset, was admitted to Osho Nanak Dham here by her father on July 7.
