A woman was allegedly shot dead by her husband at their home in Birdhana village on Monday evening, officials said.

A domestic feud is believed to be the motive behind the killing of Anjali. The accused, Sanjay, fled the scene immediately after the incident, and police have launched a manhunt to apprehend him.

ACP Anil Kumar said a police team reached the house after receiving information about the incident. Forensic experts were called to collect evidence, and Anjali’s body, found in a pool of blood, was sent to the civil hospital for a post-mortem examination.

“Sanjay is already an accused in a criminal case and has been released on bail. He is currently absconding, and efforts are underway to arrest him,” the ACP added.
