A delegation from the Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalya Karamchari Sangharsh Samiti met Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini in Chandigarh on Tuesday and demanded a resolution to their salary crisis. The delegation also demanded the release of a special grant to the university for the salaries of the employees working there.

Dr Suman, secretary, BPSMVKSS, said the Chief Minister assured the delegation that they did not need to face such problems in future and also directed the employees to work honestly for the betterment of the university.

Dr Suman further said the meeting with the Chief Minister was fruitful and soon the government would resolve their problems permanently. The secretary further said they met Vice-Chancellor Sudesh and Registrar Dr Shivalik Yadav several times for salaries, but to no avail.
