A one-day workshop on the topic ‘Life, Philosophy, and Contemporary Relevance of Swami Vivekananda’ was successfully organised at Indira Gandhi National College, Ladwa, on Saturday.
The event was conducted under the joint aegis of the Department of Economics and the Swami Vivekananda Cell. The objective of the workshop was to acquaint students with the ideas of Swami Vivekananda and to inspire them through his life and achievements.
In his address, Prof Kushal Pal stated that Swami Vivekananda was not only a great saint but also a symbol of youth power and a source of inspiration. He added that Vivekananda’s ideas continue to motivate young people to move forward with self-confidence, patriotism and humanity. He emphasised that students should always draw inspiration from Vivekananda’s life and strive persistently to achieve their goals.
Dr Santosh, Principal of State Institute of Advanced Studies in Teacher Education, Jhajjar, said the teachings of Swami Vivekananda had become even more relevant in today’s world. He encouraged students to become self-reliant, stay committed to their goals, and uphold moral values.
Dr Sudeep, assistant professor in the Department of Political Science at DAV College, Pehowa, remarked that Swami Vivekananda’s life teaches us that any goal can be achieved through self-confidence, hard work and a positive attitude. He motivated students to recognise their hidden potential and channel it in the right direction.
