Rewari, May 10
Former minister Capt Ajay Singh Yadav and his son Chiranjeev Rao, Congress MLA from Rewari, today interacted with Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar over the phone and demanded that he ensure door-to-door Covid testing in villages as the pandemic had hit the rural area where at least one member of every family had taken ill.
“The government should launch a special campaign not only to collect Covid samples from every household but also to provide immediate medical treatment to those found suffering from the virus. The villagers should also be made aware of breaking the chain of infection,” said Chiranjeev, adding that people are also struggling to get vaccinated.
He demanded that the CM set up a makeshift hospital equipped with adequate number of doctors, other supporting staff, oxygen, ventilators and medicines so that patients in Rewari could easily get treatment on time.
Chiranjeev said the CM had assured him of taking necessary steps to redress the grievances.
