In this campaign, a social organisation, Sudarshan Foundation, contributed in preparing the composter from waste material and planed 101 flowering plants on the premises of municipal corporation office.

“Cleanliness is not just a campaign, but a collective responsibility. If every office and institution disposes of the waste generated on its premises, the city can be made clean and environmentally friendly. The municipal corporation has started this initiative on its own and now appeals to everyone to participate in the initiative,” said Municipal Commissioner Mahabir Parsad.

Additional Municipal Commissioner Dheeraj Kumar said, “This is an innovative and sustainable step towards zero waste. We want all offices, institutions and bulk waste producers to incorporate waste segregation and disposal into their work culture, keeping in mind the goals of Swachh Survekshan 2025. A clean city is the foundation for a healthy future.”
