Youth dies after SUV falls into ditch in Jhajjar

In yet another case of reckless speeding turned tragic in Jhajjar. A 20-year-old youth lost his life after the Scorpio SUV he was driving fell into a roadside ditch on Sunday night. The deceased has been identified as Sunny, a resident of Dubaldhan village.

According to reports, Sunny had gone to Gwalison village in his car to meet an acquaintance. While returning home, he lost control of the vehicle near Khatiwas village. The car skidded off the road and crashed into a deep ditch.

The impact of the crash was so severe that Sunny died on the spot due to critical injuries. On receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene, recovered the vehicle from the ditch, and sent the body for a post-mortem at Jhajjar Civil Hospital.

“The accident occurred due to the loss of control over the vehicle. The body will be handed over to the family after the post-mortem examination,” a police official said.

This tragic case once again highlights the growing concern over high-speed driving and the need for better road safety awareness, particularly on rural routes.
