Youth killed by friends; six booked

KAITHAL:A youth, Vijay, was killed near here on Thursday after he was allegedly hit by a liquor bottle following a scuffle with six youths while they were taking bath and having drinks on the banks of a canal.

A youth, Vijay, was killed near here on Thursday after he was allegedly hit by a liquor bottle following a scuffle with six youths while they were taking bath and having drinks on the banks of a canal.

On a complaint lodged by kin of deceased, the police have registered a case of murder against the youths at the Siwan police station.

Vijay had gone to the canal along with Sanjay, Sandeep, Abhishek, Rohit and Munish, all of Siwan, and Deepak of Dubbal village for taking bath.

Sources said the accused threw his body in the canal as they wanted to destroy evidence. The victim’s kin have demanded a case of murder against all accused.
