Zee group owner Subhash Chandra today joined the campaign for the Congress candidate Chander Prakash in Adampur constituency here today.

Chandra, who is a former Rajya Sabha MP, said though he was associated with the BJP, he had decided to support the Congress candidate Chander Prakash due to neglect of the Adampur segment by the sitting MLA of the BJP Bhavya Bishnoi.

“Kuldeep Bishnoi visited me yesterday to seek support and stayed with me for an hour. He insisted on my blessings. But I questioned him for what had he or his son Bhavya Bishnoi done for the Adampur segment,” he said.

Chandra said Bishnoi made a claim of investing Rs 800 crore for the development works. “But I asked him to give details of just Rs 80 crore and promised to campaign for him if he is able to provide details of works worth Rs 80 crore. He could not count the works of even Rs 4 crore,” he said. The former Rajya Sabha MP further attacked Bishnoi stating that he saw a newly built kothi in Adampur mandi of Bishnoi. It seemed that he had invested Rs 80 crore in building this kothi,” he remarked.

Chandra claimed that it seemed to be a wave in favour of the Congress in Haryana. “I will continue my public contact programme. He said that people told him that the new MLA (referring to Bhavya Bishnoi of BJP). “Adampur which is my birthplace has become one of the worst backward segments in Haryana,” he said. Terming Bhupinder Singh Hooda as next chief minister, he said that Hooda is his friend.
