Haryana was recently given the ‘Gold Award’ for timely and efficient execution of citizen-centric services under the e-governance project of Antyodaya SARAL and Rewari district played a pivotal role in this feat. The district continues to remain at the top position among all districts of the state for the past six months by obtaining 9.5 Antyodaya SARAL score.

Ever since the platform was inaugurated by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in 2018, Rewari received total 9,29,569 applications till February 10, 2020. In all, 9,02,579 applications among these were disposed of and 86,651 were rejected, while 26,990 applications are under way.

Rewari was followed by Kurukshetra with a score of 9.3, while Ambala and Jind jointly stood at the third position after obtaining 9.1 score. Mahendragarh and Charkhi Dadri were at the bottom on February 10 with a score of 8.1 each. Kurukshetra received a total 8,06,197 applications, while the process of 7,94,834 applications was completed. Similarly, Mahendragarh got a total 8,04,915 applications and 7,86,737 among these were disposed, while Charkhi Dadri resolved 3,39,482 of 3,47,506 applications.

Antyodaya SARAL is a flagship initiative of the state government to enable hassle-free citizen service delivery to the people, who can avail more than 500 schemes and services from different online platforms through a single online platform by visiting the website www.saralharyana.gov.in

The key objectives of Antyodaya Saral Project include making all schemes and services available on an integrated online platform and establishing state-of-the-art citizen service delivery centres at district, subdivision and tehsil level, furthermore to ensure the availability of all schemes and services at Atal Seva Kendra (common service centres), and ensuring all schemes and services are delivered to the people of the state in a transparent and time-bound manner.

"Modern facilities have been provided for visitors at SARAL Kendras, so that they don't face any problem. The kendra is air-conditioned and proper seating arrangement and that of potable water has been made. CCTV cameras have also been installed. SARAL Kendras at the mini-secretariat of district headquarter, sub-division Bawan and Kosli have been established, where services such as registration, driving licence, HAR SAMAY and CM Window among others are being provided under one roof within five minutes. The kendras are directly connected to 350 ATAL service centres, where people can avail 236 schemes and 271 services of 38 government departments," said Yashendra Singh, Deputy Commissioner. He said: "A unique token number is issued to a visitor at SARAL Kendra for availing various government services. The system is instrumental in giving relief to people from long queues. The token number is displayed on the screen so that the token holder can easily find his/her turn. The entire process is completed after issuing the token, which has ended the possibility of any delay."

Best operator award

All online work at Antodya SARAL Kendras is done by computer operators. The district administratiion has taken the initiative to felicitate most efficient operator with ‘Best Operator’ award every month. Such award has been introduced even at sub-divisional level to encourage computer operators to work efficiently. Amardeep Saini posted at SARAL Kendra set up at Rewari district headquarters was given the award for the month of January.
