1 killed in Rajgarh road mishap

One person was killed and his two children injured when the Alto car (HP-07-F-3377) by which they were travelling plunged into a 100-feet khud near Sachal village in Rajgarh tehsil of Sirmaur district this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Mahendra Singh (40), a resident of Galati village. He was killed on the spot as he sustained fatal head injuries. His body was taken to Rajgarh hospital for a post mortem. The injured were his 15-year-old daughter Mehak and 12-year-old son Abhishek. They were rushed to the nearest hospital by the local villagers and the police. They car was moving on the Solan-Sheela Bagh route when the mishap occurred. An immediate relief of Rs 15,000 has been given to the kin of the deceased and Rs 5,000 each to the injured by the local administration.
